All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

102_1990I’ve started a new experiment with Repell-em trash bags. This one is full of corn cobs and husks, apple peelings, potato peelings, all kinds of almost-empty soap containers (I cleaned out that big cabinet under my kitchen sink), some chicken bones and skin, an empty ketchup bottle, a container of sour cream dated Feb 19 2008, and a few other delights.

So far, the animals that frequent my deck haven’t seemed to notice it. Check out the cat sitting beside the Repell-em bag, apparently not even realizing the buffet of critter goodness residing only inches from its nose. Animals really can’t see Repell-em bags very well, and it’s for sure and certain that animals can’t smell what’s inside a Repell-em bag because of what the bags are made of: completely harmless, all-natural ingredients.

Sorry about the dark picture. I didn’t get home from the college in time to catch much daylight.

You can’t see it, but in the grass at the bottom of my deck, there is a big white Hefty bag full of the same kind of garbage as the Repell-em bag. I didn’t intend for it to be on the ground, but when I opened the French doors and threw it out on the deck, well, let’s just say I don’t know my own strength.

Tomorrow, I’ll take pictures of both trash bags: the Repell-em bag on the deck and the Hefty bag on the ground, and we’ll see which bag is still intact.
