I know I know. It’s been less than one week since I talked about Madonna and you’re thinking “Here he goes on another celebrity trip!!” What can I say? They make the news. Especially super couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. This week the dynamic duo are making headlines not for news of another adoption, but for buying an island. Not just any island mind you, but a man made island shaped like…you guessed it the home of their adopted children, Ethiopia!! At an estimated cost of up to $36 million dollars the island is one of 300 being built off the coast of Dubai that when completed will resemble a world map.

What does the pair have in mind for the island? While little is known at this time, several sources are reporting that they plan to use the island as an example of how to live a greener life.

In other related Pitt family news it was recently announced that Brad plans to help rebuild the city of New Orleans with what’s being called project Make It Right. The plans calls for 150 cost efficient homes to be built over the next couple of years. I’ve always had a fondness for this place — it’s like no other,” he said. “Seeing the frustration firsthand made me want to return the kindness this city has shown me. If you have this blank slate and this great technology out there, what better test than low-income housing? It’s got to work at all levels to really be viable. They’re coming up on their third Christmas” said Pitt in regards to the project.
