It’s autumn, and that’s spider time!  Those creepy and sometimes dangerous little – or big! – spiders are invading our homes and setting up camp in our shoes!

Be careful, in fact, when you get out your cold-weather shoes, for brown recluse spiders love to live in the toes of our boots.  A bite from a brown recluse is nothing to take lightly, either; they can even be fatal!

We have a double swing on our deck, and tonight I tied a strip of Repellem to each side of it.  It’s been damp and horrendously humid as only a southern Indiana evening can be, and the mosquitoes and gnats were absolutely SWARMING.

It’s been a lovely day today: sunny and breezy and very, very hot.  The heat doesn’t bother me, but the bugs drive me CRAZY!

Why, then, was I sitting outside on my deack?

I had 12 people at my Thanksgiving table yesterday, and there really weren’t very many leftovers, nor did people throw away very much uneaten food.   As I type, it’s after midnight and out on my deck is a Repellem trash bag with the carcass of an 18-pound turkey in it.  Am I worried about putting an item like that outside overnight?  With any other brand of trash bag I would be crazy to do that, but I use Repellem trash bags exclusively now, and Repellem bags work so well, I can set them outside overnight no matter what kind of strong-smelling goodies I put inside the bags.  Animals just can’t sense a Repellem product or what it might be hiding, and that is wonderful news to someone like me who lives out in the country and really doesn’t want to step around full trash bags in the kitchen all the time.

I was almost out of Repell-em trash bags today! This is a disaster, especially in the summer when the bugs are at their peak, and I knew if I ordered them online as I usually do, they wouldn’t get here before I ran out!

I always get my Repell-em products in approximately three days, which is FAST SERVICE, but I also knew I had only two bags left and I had to do something. There is NO WAY I’m going to use an inferior trash bag after discovering how fantastic Repell-em bags are!

I knew that I could buy Repell-em products at Cabela’s, but there isn’t one in this town. However, Repell-em products are worth driving a few miles for, so that’s what I did this afternoon.

When I asked the Cabela’s clerk where the Repell-em bags were, he told me and then he said, “A lot of people are asking for those; I’ll have to try them myself!”

I told him that would be a very smart move on his part. I know I’ll never use any other kind of trash bag again.
