All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

I’ve only got a few Repell-em trash bags left, so it’s off to the Repell-em Store for me, to order some more before I run completely out.  I don’t want to be left with nothing but a few old Hefty bags, left over from the days before I wised up and started using Repell-em products exclusively.

If I set a Hefty or Glad trash bag, full of garbage, out on my deck in the evening, it’s a sure thing that I’ll be greeted in the morning by my trash spread out all over the yard, because the possums and raccoons and dogs in the area will have smelled the garbage right through the Glad and Hefty plastic, and those white bags are visible, to animals, from far, far away.

No, for me and my family, it’s Repell-em trash bags, and always will be, from now on.  I didn’t really believe the claims at first, but after using them all these months, I sure believe it now!  I’ve tried it for myself, you see, and I discovered that every single Repell-em claim was absolute truth.

I can set my trash out on the deck at night, and the next morning that bag of trash will be pristine.  Animals can’t smell what’s in it, no matter WHAT might be in it, and the red color of Repell-em bags can’t be seen by animals, either.

Tonight, the Repell-em trash bags will be full of goodies, because I cleaned out my freezer and threw away all the food that was in the bottom and the back.  If I put that kind of load in a Hefty or Glad bag, the animals would come from miles around to play on my deck and feast on my expired frozen goodies.

But in a Repell-em bag, a raccoon could dance on top of it and not notice what it was.

Thank you, Repell-em.  Every single claim you make is true.  I know, because I tried them all for myself.

I have two cats, and keeping them out of the trash used to be an ongoing trial in this house.  They went after the garbage in the kitchen wastebasket constantly, and when the bag was full and I tied it off and put it on the floor before tossing it out on the deck before putting it in the back of the pickup truck before hauling it off to the dump (Are you following me?  You’re not lost, are you?) the cats would bite and tear through the bag to get to the yummy spoiling goodness inside.

Ever since I started using Repell-em trash bags, the cats have left the kitchen trash completely alone.  They don’t smell it and they don’t see it.  This is a wonderful thing for me, because picking up trash and bits of garbage the cats left strewn about on my kitchen floor, and constantly re-bagging the garbage because the cats tore it apart, was really getting old.  REALLY old.

Now, nothing bothers the kitchen trash, and nothing bothers the tied-off trash bags no matter WHERE they are.  Using Repell-em bags in my kitchen not only keeps the animals away from the garbage, it also keep the insects out of my kitchen!

Thank you, Repell-em!

I promised you all a picture of my garden with Repell-em woven all around the tomato cages, but I’ll have to pass on that until Wednesday.  I live in Indiana, you see, and the never-ceasing rain has really thrown a monkey wrench into any photo ops I may have had planned!

Surely by Wednesday’s post, I’ll be able to go back there and take a picture for you.  It’s really quite attractive!

In the meantime, I will give you this:  I feed my cats in the kitchen, and for the past two days, not one of the three has gone near their food OR water bowl!

I finally figured it out.  I had gathered up all the newspapers and put them in a Repell-em bag and set the bag in front of the patio doors, BESIDE THE CATS’S DISHES!

No wonder the cats wouldn’t go near enough to even grab a light snack!

Repell-em products really work.  I mean to say, Repell-em products REALLY, REALLY WORK!

Stay tuned for some pictures.

I have three cats, and I’m not exactly Martha Stewart.  I keep a giant bag of dry cat food in my kitchen, leaning against the wall in a corner.

I used to have a lot of problems with ants in that bag.  Now, however, I have no ants, and I can tell you exactly why.

There are no ants in the giant bag of cat food in my kitchen because there is a little piece of wadded-up Repell-em bag in the giant bag of cat food.

Remember, Repell-em products are made of 100% natural ingredients - completely and absolutely harmless to all living things - and contact with any kind of food, human or animal, will not contaminate the food or harm anyone in any way.

Bugs are creepy in any season, and in summer bugs are even more noticeable, but with Repell-em products, you can even keep the bugs out of your pets’ food supply.

With the wadded-up Repell-em scrap in that sack, the cats themselves won’t tear the bag open as they used to do.

Don’t worry about your cat’s not wanting to get near the food to eat it after it’s removed from the bag, either.  A few minutes in the bowl, and your cat will devour its dinner like there’s no tomorrow.

No ants in the pet food.  Awesome.

Once the weather gets warm, there is always a half-filled bag of potting soil on my porch.  After a while, the animals and insects discover it and make it their home away from home; or worse, they make it their main home!

It’s bad enough, what the cats do when they find the bag of soil.  And when I need to use some of the potting soil, and put my hands in it, and come up with. . . . well, it’s no fun.

One summer, little burrowing bees found the bag of potting soil and THAT was an experience I don’t want to live through any time soon.

This summer, I’m keeping the leftover potting soil in a Repell-em trash bag.  No insects will come near it, no animals will, well, you know, in it.  Repell-em bags are thick and strong, so the soil won’t eat the bag away and then scatter all over the place.

Repell-em bags are PERFECT for storing summer gardening things, such as potting soil or fertilizer.  Plus, they’re pretty and red and look nice sitting behind the porch swing!

I hate cleaning the litter box.  I have three cats, and it seems like one or more of them is ALWAYS in there.

Oh, and guess who gets to clean it out?  Yup, that’s right.  Me.

It’s not as bad as it used to be, though.  I used to dump the stinky clumps in a little wastebasket lined with four inferior trash bags, and then I would remove all four inferior trash bags, tie them off, and put it on the deck with the rest of the trash.

Almost every time, the weight of the clumps would break through those flimsy bags and dump all over my feet.  It was so nasty.  Plus, animals from all over the place could smell what was inside those inferior bags from miles away, apparently, and they would come running.  Why the animals tore open the bags and scattered the contents is beyond me, and I don’t think I even WANT to know, but talk about a disgusting mess, scattered all over the deck and lawn!

Now, I dump the clumps in a red Repell-em trash bags.  Repell-em bags are so strong, I only need one to support the weight.  And when I put the Repell-em bag out on the deck, nothing bothers it.  Nothing whatsoever.  What’s inside can’t be smelled at all!  Not even by people!

Thank you, Repell-em.  And my cats thank you, too.  I tend to clean the litterbox more often when it’s not so difficult.

One of my friends has many shelves full of fragile, beautiful glassware.  My friend also has five cats who love to climb.

Now,  to a cat, a fragile vase is just a big toy, and if you’ve ever watched a cat play with a toy, it can be compared to a sparring match between Liston and Foreman.  Something is going to fall off the shelf, and it’s probably not going to be the cat.

My friend has tried dozens of things to try and keep the cats from climbing up to those shelves and pushing the glassware off, but nothing worked until he tried Repell-em.

He took two Repell-em tablecloths and cut them into strips just an inch or two smaller than the shelves.

Then, he laid the strips out, like a runner, and set the glassware on top of the strips.  The shelves are so high, nobody can see the strips, but the cats certainly know that something’s amiss because whenever they attempt to get near those shelves, they wrinkle their noses, look confused, and jump right back down.

No glassware has been pushed off those shelves since the day my friend lined them with Repell-em.

There are so many uses for all of the Repell-em products!  They’re not merely for outside; put a piece of Repell-em anywhere you DON’T want an animal.

I keep a Repell-em trash bag underneath my welcome mat and ever since I started doing that, there have been NO grasshoppers, fleas, or any other kind of hopping, crawling insect walking in off the front porch.

Repell-em is wonderful.  I’ll never go back to the OTHER brands.

You know those little clear plastic forks you can get at any florist shop that are on a tall spike?  Florists put them in bouquets, etc, and the fork holds the card? I never throw those away because I just knew that someday I would find a use for them.

And I did.

I live out in the country, remember, and whenever I plant flowers in the big pottery planters out on my deck or front porch, within a matter of just a few days the ants move in and take over.

This year I will be ready for them.  This year, I am going to put a small folded piece of Repell-em bag in the fork and stick it in the planter with the flowers.

I am betting that Repell-em will not only keep the ants at bay, but that the Repell-em will also keep away all the other insects that turn my plants into lace and lay eggs in the dirt, etc.

I am also betting that the Repell-em will keep away the raccoons, possums, dogs, cats, skunks, and yes, even the deer who love to devour my flowers.

I have such absolute faith in Repell-em products; I’ve been experimenting with them for months now and they haven’t failed me yet!  I have never before used a product that so faithfully keeps all of its promises, and even goes far beyond its promises, in delivering customer satisfaction.

Thank you, Repell-em.  You are what all other companies should be: truthful, environmentally safe, all-natural,  recyclable, and reliable.

This is no April Fools’ joke:  the Repell-em bag full of dry cat food is still sitting in my kitchen, absolutely untouched by the three cats who don’t even act as though they see it!

Here’s something else that’s no joke:  I use no other trash bag but Repell-em now, and when I tossed a full bag out on the deck earlier this evening, I aimed it deliberately toward a cluster of little black bugs that looked like miniature flies that were swarming in the corner by the big swing.

I just now looked outside; there are no little miniature flies.  All trace of bugs is gone.  On my deck, there ARE no insects.

That’s because, on my deck, there is a Repell-em trash bag full to the brim of smelly garbage; but outside of the Repell-em bag, all is fragrant and pleasant and absolutely bug-free.

Come to think of it, ever since I started using Repell-em trash bags, I haven’t seen any ants on the deck, either.  Most springs, we have to spray under there.  Maybe this spring, Repell-em has taken care of that problem and that expense!

Thank you, Repell-em.  You’ve made my life out in the country so much more pleasant.

This morning, I filled a Repell-em trash bag with dry cat food, and put it against a wall in my kitchen. So far, the cats haven’t even noticed it.

I got this idea from a lady on the A to Z Teacher Forum, who asked if she could store dog food in a Repell-em bag and have it be safe from discovery by her dogs. I wasn’t sure, so that’s why I’m experimenting once again.

GlendaLL, who also posts on A to Z, had entered the Repell-em Contest a few months ago and told all the teachers on the forum that she had received her Repell-em sample for entering. Other teachers asked questions about the product, one of which was about whether or not Repell-em products worked with horses. I gave some Repell-em bags to a friend who has horses, so we’ll all know the answer to that question in about a week.

Then TeacherGroupie asked about storing Kibbles in a Repell-em bag, and that is what led to my current experiment. She also wanted to know if the dogs would still eat the kibbles after they’d been stored in the Repell-em bag, and I’ll be finding out about that, too.

The cat food I am using is Sam’s Club, and it has a rather strong odor. Inside the Repell-em bag, however, we can’t smell it at all, and apparently, neither can the cats.

I’ll let you all know how this experiment goes.

Thank you to the teachers on the A to Z Forum for their extremely good questions.
