All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

I’ve told you before about the dangers of DDT the chemical found in most bug repellents, but a new study has linked it to breast cancer. The study done by UC Berkeley’s Child Health and Development Studies took a look at 129 women born between 1945 and 1965. It was during this time frame in American History that DDT was being sprayed up and down city streets all across the United States in an attempt to kill a growing mosquito population. Before it was banned in 1972 DDT use was already on the downside having peaked in 1959. According to the director of the study Barbara Cohn “There was very broad exposure to this pesticide, and with this study, we have evidence that women exposed when young were the most affected. If this finding holds up, those who were young and more highly exposed could be the women at greatest risk.”

So what’s the point in this study if DDT use has ceased? Well while massive quantities are no longer being sprayed by the cities, DDT is still prevalent in many major insect repellents. The La Times even reports that there was so much of this junk being sprayed around the world that even today some 62 years since the trucks began spraying our neighborhoods, nearly every living thing on this planet contains DDT residue.

You know which brand of repellent infused products contains zero amounts of DDT? You guessed it Repellem brand products. No matter if you’re talking about our garbage bags, table clothes, or doggy litterbags; the repellent in Repellem products is all natural and made from apple pumice, lemon oil, and citronella. Why even take a chance of getting a disease when you can live bug free safely by purchasing Repellem products!!
