All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

I’ve learned a lot about Dell over the past few weeks. I originally bought my Dell (the very same one I am writing on today) a little over a year ago and have had nothing but good times with it since it was delivered to my home on March 14th 2006.  Notice how I know what day I got it? See that’s how important my Dell has become to me. Like a newborn baby I can’t see myself not paying it some attention everyday. Patting the keyboard, talking to the hard drive…ok I don’t want to take this in a sick direction. Just know that I love my Dell computer. It got sick for the first time a few weeks ago and sure enough the folks at customer service were right there to get her back up and running. Like a pedestrian the techies checked her heart beat and got her going again.

Now we all have a new reason to love Dell just a little bit more than we used to thanks to their recent announcement that as of next year they will the first computer company to be carbon neutral. By starting up carbon offset programs, cutting off electricity to all non-essential units at night (this alone will save them an estimated $1.8 million a year), using the more and more popular energy efficient light bulbs, and seeking suppliers who are also environmentally conscious, Dell will soon be the environmentalists choice for computer hardware.

In their own words “This should only be the beginning of building long-term partnerships with customers, stakeholders and suppliers of all sizes to team up and make a difference for the Earth we all share.” All that and a great product to boot..get it? To boot!!
