I mentioned this new site I came across a few months ago called Great Green Goods and ever since I’ve been addicted to the awesome products they continuously find day in and day out. Of course they are all made with recycled materials and with Christmas coming up I thought I’d showcase a few of their latest greatest gifts ideas.
Copper Necklace
Check that out!! Coming straight from Mali, West Africa at a price of only $19.95 these necklaces are made from recycled copper. My wife loves unique gifts like this and handmade is always a nice touch. Plus the proceeds from the necklaces go helping feeding those in need.
Packaged Pads
Growing you in school one of the most import things we all go through is trying to keep up with the latest trends. Slap bracelets, those Mc. Hammer pants, and glove socks are all classic examples of trends that consumed the country. Well wouldn’t it be cool if these notebooks made from recycled paper were to suddenly take the world by storm? Though the beer covers may be a little too extreme for my kids, I can totally see them sporting a mac n’cheese pad and personally I want the Sno-caps.
Cover Art
This is definitely on my want list this year. Yes I know I wasn’t around when people still listened to actual records, but just like everything else these too are coming back into fashion. Only this time they aren’t made for listening. Recently a friend of mine purchased a record that had been turned into a wall clock, but this may be cooler than telling time off a copy of Rock Around The Clock. Created by Daniel Edlen these amazing works of art feature a portrait of the artist on the very record that made them famous. For a price of only $175 the whole thing comes framed in classic black metal. Check out this cool time lapse video showing how these are made:
