All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

So I finally did it. I got it all down from the attic and decorated the house for the holidays. Some do it right after Halloween, some the weekend after Thanksgiving, us…we like to wait till two weeks before for some odd reason. For the next month (they never seem to come down until the second week in January) I can be seen tiptoe’n out my back porch at midnight on my way to cut our lights off wearing nothing but a T-shirt and if I’m ever caught what I will swear to be "biker shorts".

Well this may be the last year I go for that particular midnight stroll every night, cause I’m switching to solar lights. Solar lights are the latest and greatest green invention to take the world by storm. Feel free to decorate your cabin with a million colored Christmas lights blinking in time to the Little Drummer Boy. Cover every bush, tree, and shrub with so many lights that if you didn’t know better you’d swear a sky full of stars fell to the ground. Do all of this and sit back gazing in awe knowing your doing your part to help the environment. Did you know that this year’s Rockefeller Center Tree is being powered by solar lights? Plus when the ball drops in Times Square it will also be solar powered.

As one home owner recently put it "I love the Christmas lights, but it does kill me to think how much electricity gets used up burning them. Considering what we are going through with global warming, it does seem wasteful. But it’s very cheery to see the lights. It’s a great relief to enjoy them guilt free" The best part is that they automatically come on at night and fade out by the time the sun comes up the next morning.
