Not sure if my Spanish is so great, but one thing I do know is a great website when I see it and Myabodo is fantastic!!! Developed by the UK’s department for environmental, food and rural affairs, Myabodo takes a page out of virtual reality handbook in order to teach kids and adults the effects of decision making on the environment.

With just a couple clicks of the mouse botton you become the sole designer of your very own home by bay. First thing you gotta decide is the style and color of your new online pad. Pick the wrong color and you are wasting energy. Too much room means a higher electric bill. Next you need to figure out what kinda ride will get you too and from this new place of yours. Hybrid, family car, or a sleek sports car? It’s up to you, but be aware that with every choice you make your overall eco rating may take a hit.

As you make your way through the game you find yourself not only learning about how your daily life effects the world around you, but what it takes to have a truly green home.

After you’ve decided just how much you are willing to sacrifice for the sake of Mother Nature, you are invited to join others who have built homes and formed a Myabodo community. Wanna see what life would be like if nobody cared about the environment? Click over to the “Enemy Of The Planet” side of things and watch as the environmental waste from the local dump oozes into somebody’s backyard and a monster truck pipes fresh pollution into the smog covered sky. Once you’ve seen the worst, “So Fresh So Clean” gives us all a glimpse at what the perfect neighborhood would look like complete with hybrids and solar cells.
