All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

36. That number may not mean anything to you, but to me that’s just part of what’s driving my utility bill up every month. You see 36 represents the number of loads of laundry ON AVERAGE that is done in my house every month. Now I’m really not prepared to pick up a rock, scrubbing board, and a bar of soap just to avoid using my washing machine, but what we do practice is hanging our clothes out on the line.

I know some you young’ns may not be aware of this, but long before the days of multi-colored washers/dryers people actually used heat from the sun to get their clothes dry. Yes everyone sees you’re underwear, but on the upside you can afford to buy newer sexier under garments.

We also have a dishwasher in my house. Actually we have two. One is electric and never gets used, the other is a manual dish cleaner and he gets to watch the ball game once they get done.

During late spring and early fall our home is magically cooled for free by this invisible stuff that comes blowing through our windows. When necessary the house is even heated by closing those very same windows and leaving the curtains open.

Every couple of years if it looks like the food budget just isn’t where it needs to be, we do this thing where seeds turn into vegetables that spring from the ground and are missing a bar code.

Oh and sometimes we even manage to turn the TV off, play outside, and read a book!!!

Old fashioned means less energy, less pollution, less waste, and maybe just more time with your family.
