All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

This morning, I filled a Repell-em trash bag with dry cat food, and put it against a wall in my kitchen. So far, the cats haven’t even noticed it.

I got this idea from a lady on the A to Z Teacher Forum, who asked if she could store dog food in a Repell-em bag and have it be safe from discovery by her dogs. I wasn’t sure, so that’s why I’m experimenting once again.

GlendaLL, who also posts on A to Z, had entered the Repell-em Contest a few months ago and told all the teachers on the forum that she had received her Repell-em sample for entering. Other teachers asked questions about the product, one of which was about whether or not Repell-em products worked with horses. I gave some Repell-em bags to a friend who has horses, so we’ll all know the answer to that question in about a week.

Then TeacherGroupie asked about storing Kibbles in a Repell-em bag, and that is what led to my current experiment. She also wanted to know if the dogs would still eat the kibbles after they’d been stored in the Repell-em bag, and I’ll be finding out about that, too.

The cat food I am using is Sam’s Club, and it has a rather strong odor. Inside the Repell-em bag, however, we can’t smell it at all, and apparently, neither can the cats.

I’ll let you all know how this experiment goes.

Thank you to the teachers on the A to Z Forum for their extremely good questions.
