The Repell-em Contest ends in three more days - Friday, Feb. 15th is the last day to enter! Remember, everyone who enters gets a free sample. (Remember, too, that to get your free sample, we’ll be asking you via email for your mailing address. Don’t worry; we won’t share it or do anything creepy with it.)
I live out in the country, and each summer, we plant a big garden. I don’t like to use sprays or pesticides on something I plan to eat later on, but it’s hard to keep up with the insect world when it comes to big red tomatoes, bright yellow corn, or those beautiful green beans and peas. The bugs love them as much as we do, and some summers, the bugs end up feasting on most of it. The deer, raccoons, and turtles eat their share and more, too.
This summer, I’m going to try an experiment.
I’ve lined the furrows between each row of vegetables with plastic bags before, to keep the weeds down, and that worked well. It didn’t do anything for the bug and animal problem, though.
This summer, I’m going to line the furrows with Repell-em bags.
I know that weeds can’t grow underneath any kind of waterproof liner, and I’m betting and banking on the Repell-em formula to keep away any insect or animal that might otherwise be tempted to feast on the buffet in my back yard.
Once I get that garden planted, I’ll keep you all posted on the progress.
A garden in springtime is full of blossoms, and blossoms attract bees and other potentially dangerous stinging insects. I’m extremely allergic to bee and wasp venom, and can’t visit my garden while it’s flowering. This summer, I hope I can!
Repell-em bags are the BEST TRASH BAGS in the world, and there are so many other uses for them, too!
