All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

102_1928I’m doing an experiment on my deck. Yes, this really is my deck.

The white bag with the red tie is a Hefty bag. The white bag with the yellow tie is a Glad bag. Both are nice, thick, reputable trash bags.

The reddish bag is a Repell-em bag. It’s a nice, thick, reputable trash bag, too.

All three bags are full of food remnants, lemon peelings, chicken parts, cardboard, eggshells, and old newspapers. I divided this treasure pretty equally among the three bags.

I set these bags outside on my deck at 6:00 p.m. My deck is a big buffet for local stray cats, possums, raccoons, and birds. I’m betting that in the morning, the two white bags will be torn to pieces and their contents devoured or strewn all over the deck and back yard below. I’m also betting that the red Repell-em bag is intact in the morning.

Stay tuned.
