All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

skunkI’ve posted before about the really severe skunk problem we’re having in southern Indiana right now. All of our rivers and creeks are overflowing and the floods are terrible! Not only does the flooding delay the planting of crops, the flooding also drives animals out of their burrows and dens, and into OUR homes!

One of my students was telling us a few weeks ago that a family of skunks had moved into the crawlspace under her house, and after trying all the usual methods of removal (sprays, flooding, yelling. . . sometimes yelling works!. . . and smoke), they gave up and were going to start tearing out the foundation so they could remove the skunks physically.

Last week, I gave her two Repell-em trash bags and told her to cut each of them in half, wad up the halves, and throw them into the crawl space, just to see what might happen.

Here’s what happened: the skunks were gone within the hour.

That’s right. Two Repell-em trash bags saved this family the time, trouble, and expense of having their home’s foundation torn up.

I call that a good job well done. Way to go, Repell-em.
