All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

I got an e-mail the other day asking if the 100% natural ingredients that make up a Repell-em product would wash off in the rain.

The answer, of course, is “no,” but just to be on the safe side, I did another experiment.

We’ve had torrential rain lately (my basement is flooding!) and when I say “torrential,” what I really mean is TORRENTIAL. It’s the kind of rain that strips the bark off the trees, and sends all the animals - even the big ones like deer - to cower under the bushes. It was perfect for an experiment.

So, I stuffed a Repell-em trash bag with the remnants of Friday night’s fried chicken frenzy - oops, I mean, feast -  and set it out in the rain. It rained so hard on that bag, that it almost flattened the bag. It rained on the Repell-em bag on Friday night, and on Saturday, and Saturday night, and on Sunday morning.

The KFC-stuffed Repell-em trash bag is still intact.

It’s really not possible for the “repellent” to wash off the Repell-em bags, because the ingredients are not just a coating on the outside of the bag: the ingredients are what the bag is actually made of. The entire bag is created with the mixture of the ingredients and the plastic; the bag isn’t merely covered with a veneer.

A Repell-em bag is an entity unto itself. A Repell-em bag isn’t a regular plastic trash bag dyed red and sprayed with temporary insect and animal repellent.

When you buy Repell-em products, you are buying quality products.

You are also guaranteeing yourself an insect-free and pesky animal-free environment.

Speaking of environment, you are also helping “GREEN” the environment when you use Repell-em products. Repell-em products are 100% biodegradable.
