This morning I would like to introduce you to our newest partners in keeping America clean the Green Armada!!! The Green Armada is the name for a non-profit organization committed to cleaning up water ways all across the United States. Founded by two brothers (Jeff and Vince Albanese) and their cousin (Mark Masksimowicz) the Green Armada “represents an organized way for communities to come together and efficiently and economically remove the tons of trash collecting along our coastlines and inland waterways. Our specially designed boats, staff, volunteers, and sponsoring businesses make this possible without any additional burden on already strained government resources.”
Already Repellem has donated thousands of bags to the group and getting nothing but positive feedback from the volunteers in regards to how well designed they are. In fact just this past week over 500 volunteers from the Green Armada showed up to clean portions of the Clam Bayou in St. Petersburg, Fl. each caring a supply of Repellem bags to help them make the daunting task a bit easier. According to the St. Petersburg Times ” Volunteers of all ages trudged through the mud and water, filling red garbage bags with trash and debris.
