All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

I went on a picnic today with my old high school girlfriends and our husbands.  Our state park shelter was open on two sides, and all around us were other shelters with large groups in them, too.

Funny thing, though. . . . all the other people in the park were slapping at mosquitoes and spraying smelly hazardous repellants on themselves and on their children.  Heaven only knows what their food tasted like after being so close to such strong-smelling stuff!

But in our park shelter, my friends and I were NOT slapping at mosquitoes.  We didn’t even have any ants!  There were no nasty odors from strong poisonous sprays at our picnic table.  The only time one of us got bitten was when a couple of the husbands walked across the parking lot to get something out of the car.

What was the difference between our picnic setup and everybody else’s?  Simple.  We had an EcoSmart Repellem tablecloth on our table, and two EcoSmart Repellem trash bags hanging off the ends of the unused table in our shelter.

And, we had no bugs.  Nope, not one.  I recommend EcoSmart Repellem products to all of you this summer, for your picnics, and for your general day-by-day living.  “No bugs” is nice, and extends to your home if you use EcoSmart Repellem products there, too.

I do.   Wouldn’t be without them!

  • I gave my neighbor a box of Repellem tall kitchen trash bags, and she’s now madly in love with the product.  I told her how the Repellem tablecloth under my tree kept the cats away from it, and she did me one better:  she wrapped an empty box in bright red Repellem, stuck a big white bow on it,  and put it under her tree with the rest of the gifts.  That smallish Repellem-wrapped box is sufficient to keep all the rest of her gifts AND her tree safe from her curious dogs.  She has two small children, and wanted some kind of repellant product that was 100% safe to use around kids.  Repellem certainly fits that description!

Repellem isn’t noticeable at ALL. That bright red box now blends right in with her other gifts.

Repellem has a hundred million different uses, and each one works like a charm,  and each one looks fine, and each one is sturdy and strong. What more could anyone ask of a piece of plastic?

Remember, too, that if you have a real evergreen tree, Repellem will also keep the insects away from it and out of it.

  • When I saw the cats cautiously approaching my Christmas tree, sniffing, sniffing some more, and then stepping onto the tree skirt, I knew it was time to put a fresh Repellem tablecloth under the tree skirt.  It looks like three weeks is the approximate life span of a Repellem tablecloth being used under a Christmas tree!

In a cartoon or movie, two cats leaping onto a loaded Christmas tree, knocking it down and sending ornaments every which way, would be funny.  In real life?  Not so much.  Until I discovered Repellem, however, there was NOTHING that seemed to deter the cats from that tree.

Once I put a Repellem tablecloth under the tree skirt, though, the tree, with all its moving parts and batting possibilities, didn’t even seem to exist for the cats.  It was perfect.

Thank you, Repellem.  My Christmas tree is STILL upright and  beautiful, and it’s all because of YOU.

P.S.  Remember, our fantastic EcoSmart Blog Contest will be running until Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2009.  If you haven’t signed up already, please do it now!

  • School has already started for many children, and will start after Labor Day for a few more.  New clothes, new pencils, new lunchboxes, and new shoes are being unwrapped in many households right now.

When you put your child’s new shoes in his/her closet, remember to put a new Repell-em trash bag or tablecloth in the back or bottom of the closet, too.  Brown recluse spiders love to nest in the bottoms of closets, and particularly inside shoes.   If a child, or you, puts a foot inside a shoe and disturbs a brown recluse, it will bite, and the bite of a brown recluse spider is horrible, and can take YEARS to heal.

Simply avoid this possibility by using Repell-em products as preventative medicine in your closets.  Repell-em products smell so good to humans; they smell like expensive candles or sachets, in fact.  Having that Repell-em bag or tablecloth in your closet will not only keep the spiders away; it will also protect your expensive clothing from moths and other insects.

Put some Repell-em in your closet.  You’ll be glad you did.
