All about the Repell-em garbage bags and tablecloths

Let me set the record straight once and for all. I HATE MOSQUITOES!!! They’re fierce here in the south and they swarm by the hundreds. I don’t even like to walk outside after 5:00 pm simply because the second I leave my indoor sanctuary I begin to hear the horrifying buzz as they dive bomb my face and then sure enough comes the bite. My arm swells up, I start to scratch, that leaves a mark, the mark takes three weeks to heal…it’s just easier to stay inside and save myself the drama. Unfortunately I just don’t always have that option. After all it’s football season and there’s nothing I’d rather do on a Friday/Saturday than pull out the bleacher seat, grab my giant foam finger, and risk damage to my spinal cord as I sit hunched over for four hours watching my team get beat. Rain, sleet, or snow the messier the weather the better. What about my hate for mosquitoes? That’s where working for Repellem comes in handy. Though they may “officially” be considered insect repellent infused garbage bags, I like to think of them as the best ponchos on the market. A couple cuts for my head/arms and gone are my fears about being dive bombed by a hoard of bloodthirsty insects.

I simply can’t imagine how bad the pests have to be in Illinois where they just announced that a third person has died from the mosquito borne West Nile Virus. With over 28 cases being reported so far this year and 215 on record from last year, the state’s Department of Public Health estimates that 80% of those infected do not even report the illness.

This is a classic example of why I constantly keep a tube of Repellem bags in the car and on our back porch. It’s just not worth the risk and besides I’d much rather wear a red, bug repellent Repellem bag in bad weather than a smelly do nothing poncho that leaves me a sitting target to every bug with a biting problem.
