Repell-em Blog

I know I have probably covered the Repellem Poncho before, but every time I have to use it, I’m left with the feeling that the whole world needs to know about this alternate use of the Repellem garbage bag.

We live about a block away from the local high school, so it makes it really easy to walk on over and catch a football game every Friday night. Last it was one of those nights every player/fan dreams about. It was a little cool outside, it had been raining hard all night, a light sprinkle had settled in, and the field was a mess. As we got to the stadium and found our seat the guy beside us immediately began sharing his current source of angst….umbrellas. Now I thought they weren’t allowed in the stadium, but apparently the lady in front of this poor guy didn’t know that or simply didn’t care. As he sat there twisting from side to side trying to glimpse over and around the huge umbrella you could hear the occasional SMACK!! coming from his direction. The mosquitoes were out and my unlucky pal didn’t bring any repellent. Hence every so often one of the pest would attempt to make him their next meal.

Suddenly he looks over and says "So why aren’t the bugs bothering you? And what’s with the pink plastic your all wrapped up in?" To which I explained to him the beauty of Repellem bags. More importantly I told him about how mosquitoes won’t come any where near them. While the rest of the people in the stands sat slapping away at the million bloodsuckers swarming the stadium, my wife and I simply sat back and enjoyed the game with out fear of being bit. Gotta love the Repellem Poncho!!!
